working with AIRIE Artists in Residence in Everglades

This summer I started working more closely with the nonprofit organization AIRIE, Artists in Residence in Everglades, and am super excited to work towards a couple of my biggest passions – the arts and the environment. Founded in 2001, AIRIE operates a month-long residency in the Everglades National Park and manages the US Park system’s only art space with in a park, the AIRIE Nest Gallery. AIRIE also presents innovative public programs, exhibition and performances that highlight the importance of the River of Grass and spread awareness, promote conservation and preservation efforts for the Everglades.

As their new Development Director, I’ll be working to raise awareness of the organization, bring in new members, tackle fundraising and strengthen the very small team that puts it all together.
